Unforgotten: Twenty-Five Years after Willowbrook plot

Willowbrook State School was a New York school for children with intellectual disabilities. The school was founded in 1947 and designed for a maximum of 4000 children, but by the mid-1960s it had already grown to 6000. In 1972 journalist Geraldo Rivera managed to sneak into the school with a film crew and report abuses such as overcrowding, poor hygiene and expose physical and sexual abuse by staff members. 25 years later, this documentary looks back on the events with eyewitnesses and family members.
