Underdown plot

In the concrete jungle of Beirut, the characterful taxi driver Abu Hussam tries to hold his own. He dreams of having a roof over his head, but until then he sleeps on the street and drives through the streets of Beirut with a smoking hood. Alcohol offers comfort, for a while. The urban chaos suits him, he says, because “if there was order in this country, I couldn't drink and drive at the same time.”
