Truba plot
In 1983, the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline was constructed. This pipeline connected the world's second largest gas field in Urengoy West Siberia (the largest is in Qatar) with the Western European market. The 4,500-kilometer pipeline has become one of the most vital veins of the Russian economy: according to Vladimir Putin, gas and oil revenues make up half of Russia's disposable capital. For 104 days, acclaimed director Vitaly Mansky and his crew traveled from the Siberian edge of Europe, across seven different countries to capture life along the route that connects two extremes of Europe.
