Tropico de Cancer plot

An account of how some families survive in the desert of San Luis Potosi in Mexico, located on the Tropic of Cancer. They live as in prehistoric times under harsh conditions among the cacti. Under the scorching sun they use homemade snares and weapons to catch birds, rodents, turtles and poisonous snakes. Their main concern is hunger. They eat what they catch and sell their produce to wealthy car owners along the highway, while truck after truck rumbles along Highway 57, Mexico's main trade route.
