Between 2011 and 2013, hundreds of laws were passed to restrict abortion in America. Lawyers call this 'TRAP' or Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers. Although these laws have been enacted in 11 states, abortion clinics in the South have been the hardest hit and are fighting to survive. Less than half of the clinics in Texas are still open, in Alabama 3 clinics are struggling to keep their doors open and in Mississippi only 1 clinic is left due to the many, often absurd, rules they have to comply with.
