This Time plot

This documentary follows six artists who are about to take their next step into the limelight. They've done backing vocals for Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick and Jimi Hendrix, were homeless while their songs hit the charts, and fought the unfair odds in the music industry while clinging to their dreams. "This Time" takes you from the streets of South Central Los Angeles to New York's Park Avenue on a musical journey. It offers a look at a music industry far removed from the thrills of "American Idol" and "The X Factor".
