The Village at the End of the World plot

Niaqornat, a small village in northern Greenland, has more dogs than residents. For some, the simplicity of life in the remote fishing village is heaven on earth, others like Lars, the village's only teenager, dream of venturing out into the wide world. In recent years, rising unemployment and the melting ice caps have put a strain on peaceful village life. A witty, surprising and ultimately uplifting story about a resilient community that tries to survive in harsh conditions.
