With his 102 spirited years, Professor Willy Sommerfeld is about as old as cinema. He was one of the many pianists who provided the moving images with live music in the cinemas in the early years of cinema. When silent cinema was rediscovered in the 1970s, it was also the rediscovery of Willy Sommerfeld's arts at the same time. His wife Doris and son Sebastian, among others, tell about the life and career of Willy Sommerfield, who still accompanies films live with his piano.
