The Port of Last Resort plot

Between 1938 and 1941, nearly 18,000 European Jews fled to Shanghai, China. There, they quickly fell under the control of the Japanese occupying forces. This documentary presents the recollections of four former refugees and offers a collage of rare amateur photographs, letters, journals, secret reports, and correspondence from relief committees.
