The Passing plot

Dr. Michael Mullen, a Texas veterinarian, carries the burden of guiding people through their pet's entire life. He runs his clinic from an answering machine in his home and a white van that he drives around Austin to visit his patients. One day, after completing his appointments, he has to guide his neighbor Cindy through one of the most difficult days of her life.
