The Most Dangerous Year plot

In 2016, a small group of families with transgender children joined the fight against a wave of discriminatory anti-transgender laws that swept the US and their state. With the help of a coalition of human rights activists and lawmakers on their side, these families embarked on an unknown journey to fight for the lives and futures of their children. As one of the parents involved, Vlada Knowlton presents a portrait of her own struggle to protect her 5-year-old transgender daughter from laws inspired by hate and fear.
