The Last Patrol plot

Going to war is confusing, but it's nothing compared to coming home. Sebastian Junger accompanied two war veterans and a press photographer on their 400km hike along the train tracks between Washington DC and Pittsburgh. They sleep under bridges, wash themselves in rivers and evade the police and thus reacquaint themselves with a country in which they no longer feel at home. By once again evoking the camaraderie of soldiers under attack, they philosophize about the intoxication of war and what it's like to return home as a veteran.
