"Some fights never end"

Alex Gibney takes an unprecedented look at the National Hockey League's most feared 'enforcers' (goons) and highlights the career of Chris 'Knuckles' Nilan in particular. Their role is simple: to protect their teammates, at any cost. For Chris, this means a shattered body, addiction to drugs, and all the other ill effects, especially for those closest to him. Through interviews with hockey's toughest guys, the film explores what it means to uphold the NHL's unspoken code.
