The Jacket plot

The Lebanese-born Palestinian theatre-maker Jamal Hindawi is preparing a play in which the leading role is given to a ... coat. It is not just any vest, the rag coat symbolizes the many oppressions that the Palestinian people have to endure. When Jamal undertakes a forced journey through Lebanon after one of the theatre rehearsals, he sees how the successive political and economic crises have disrupted an entire region and its population.
