The Dybbuk. A Tale of Wandering Souls plot

Every year, thirty thousand hasidim, followers of an orthodox religious movement within Judaism, travel from more than seventy countries to Uman in Ukraine to celebrate the Jewish New Year at the grave of their leader Rebbe Nachman. But this Rebbe isn't the only historical figure revered in the poor, post-communist town. One of the great heroes of the local residents is Ivan Gonta, the 18th-century rebel leader who, according to the Ukrainians, liberated their country but massacred tens of thousands of Jews and Poles during his bloody uprising. The documentary shows the rising tensions between the local residents and the massive flock of visitors to Oeman.
