The Death of Antonio Sànchez Lomas plot
On All Saints' Day, the inhabitants of Frigiliana in southern Spain commemorate their dead. Crowded villagers, who all know each other, bring flowers and candles. But the serene image hides that this village is in fact torn apart. When villager Antonio Sànchez Lomas was murdered by the Guardia Civil in 1952 during the regime of General Franco, a collective trauma arose here. Ramon and Salvador Gieling settle in the picturesque village to question residents about its history. Their stories paint a vivid picture of the painful events of 1952, which still stir people's minds.
