Based on Hope Edelman's bestseller 'Motherless Daughters', this documentary tells the story of three women who were very young when they lost their mothers and now find themselves at a crossroads in their lives: a Southern artist who tries to make sense of her past. to give through her work; a high school senior seeking independence; and a Brazilian living in New York who is becoming a mother for the first time.
