The Big Gypsy Eviction plot

For six years, the director followed the gypsy camp Dale Farm in the United Kingdom, near Basildon in Essex. They have bought their land, but because the land has been labeled as 'green belt' - areas that will be reused as nature, virgin land or agricultural land - they have no permission to build there. The Basildon board has voted several times to get the residents out. But residents are doing their utmost to counteract this and the tone towards local authorities is becoming increasingly grim.
