The Battle of Britain plot
Seventy years later, brothers Colin and Ewan McGregor relive the key moments of the Battle of Britain, when the RAF - heavily outnumbered - faced the might of the Nazi Luftwaffe. As they fly historic aircraft, meet World War II veterans, and explore tactics and engineering, Colin and Ewan discover the importance of aerial combat and the legacy of the 1940s campaign for the modern RAF. Colin is a veteran of the RAF himself, and has a childhood dream of one day flying in a Spitfire plane. He also allows Ewan behind the controls of a Spitfire.
