The 1957 Transcripts plot
On October 29, 1956, 49 residents of the Palestinian village of Kafr Qasim were murdered in cold blood by Israeli Border Police soldiers. They included men and women returning from working in the fields outside the village, as well as children. They were killed because they were unaware that the curfew had been unexpectedly moved forward by an hour that day. When they returned home, they were mowed down without mercy. Using recently released transcripts, this documentary examines the circumstances of the massacre, its consequences, and the trial of the soldiers involved.
