Tales of Crocodiles plot

Between 1974 and 1999, the people of East Timor suffered greatly under the Indonesian occupation. The repression was accompanied by extreme violence, in which a third of East Timorese lost their lives. One of the biggest massacres came after the August 1999 referendum in Suai, in which women were raped and kidnapped and men were chopped to death and fed to crocodiles.
