Take Me to the River plot

Martin Shore, with a group of performers of different races and generations, sheds light on Memphis' musical influence on today's discrimination and segregation. Several generations of musicians who made waves and won awards in Memphis and the Mississippi Delta are brought together to jointly release a new album and relive what the utopian street scene in Memphis's heyday must have been like without racial segregation, gender discrimination and generation gaps.
