Strange & Familiar: Architecture on Fogo Island plot

Architect Tod Saunders returned a few years ago to the place of his childhood in Canada's North East. For the design of the hotel Fogo Island Inn, he was inspired by the sober beauty of the local traditional architecture. This documentary shows how architect Todd Saunders and his business partner Zita Cobb – who also initiated and financed the project – are committed to giving Fogo Island off the coast of Canada a new cultural and economic impulse. Both have strong ties to the place from the past. The film follows Saunders and Cobb for four seasons as the Fogo Island Inn is built.
