Scottsboro: An American Tragedy plot

In March 1931, two women claim to have been raped by a group of 9 black boys on a train. Despite saying they are innocent, their lawyer advises them to plead guilty, and they do. They are sentenced to death. When the communists find out about this story, they try to get the boys released after all, and hire a New York lawyer for this.
