Sacred Soil: The Piney Woods School Story plot

This documentary follows a number of bright young high school students at a black boarding school founded in 1909 as they negotiate and reflect on academics, friendships, the prejudiced outside world, and their own weaknesses and strengths. Scenes on the school's farm, in the science labs, at dances and choir and at a town hall illustrate the school's inspiring and encouraging principles. Some teachers show patience and compassion and seem to spend as much time discussing a student's character as they do their academic progress.
