Sacred Cod: The Fight for a New England Tradition plot

Off the coast of New England, the survival of the historic fleet of cod fishermen is threatened. Due to overfishing, climate change and government mismanagement, there is very little cod left, which has led to strict quotas being imposed. It means that out of 45 boats, only 7 are now left. According to scientists and the government, quotas are the only way to save fish stocks for the future, but the affected fishermen think otherwise. They risk losing their jobs and income, while they are convinced that there is still enough cod swimming around.
