Romantic Road plot

"One English couple. One battered English car. 5000 miles through the heart of India."

Rupert Gray is an English lawyer from London who embraces old age. Satisfied with his life of obscurity and adventure, he sets out to conquer retirement by taking a serious risk. After much research and a lifelong dream, Rupert travels with his wife Jan for half a year through the suburbs of India in his father's old Rolls Royce.
