Reversing Roe plot
"Who gets to decide?"
Using interviews with advocates and opponents of the right to abortion, this film shows the lengthy political campaign to annul the Roe vs Wade judgment. This is a 1973 Supreme Court ruling, in which this court ruled on the then abortion laws in the United States. The court ruled that most of the laws prohibiting or restricting the practice of abortion were unconstitutional, as it held that the "right to abortion" was embedded in the constitutional "right to privacy." With this judgment the then legislation of the various states was repealed. This documentary takes a look at the current state of abortion and women's rights in the US.
