Regen achter Je Ogen plot
The number of Dutch drug couriers imprisoned in South America has exploded in recent years. Rain behind your eyes follows eight Dutchmen who are serving long sentences in the Dominican Republic. The conditions in which drug smugglers have to survive in foreign prisons are appallingly bad. The facilities are unsanitary, the overcrowding in the cells promotes violence among inmates and a lot of drugs are used. In Regen behind your eyes, filmmaker Walter Stokman does not look for guilt or the personal circumstances that led these people to start smuggling, but shows how these people are serving their sentences. How do you undergo the penance of many years of imprisonment in a country far away from the Netherlands?
