A forgotten event is remembered again: the riots that took place in Rotterdam's Afrikaanderwijk in 1972 out of dissatisfaction about the arrival of guest workers in the area. There was an explosion of violence. It rained stones and Molotov cocktails on the streets. By allowing the current generation to (re)tell experiential stories, the events are reconstructed and given meaning in the present. This is enhanced by the use of split screen, which allows the past and present to be seen simultaneously.
