Rain of the Children plot

"Some secrets are kept forever..."

At the age of 21, the then naive Vincent Ward met the nearly eighty-year-old Maori Puhi, who lived a secluded existence in the interior of New Zealand with her schizophrenic son Nikki. He stayed with them for almost two years and is making his award-winning observational documentary 'In Spring One Plants Alone'. Thirty years later, he returns to get answers to all the unanswered questions about the woman who gave him access to her life, but kept silent about her painful past.
