Projekt Gold - Eine Deutsche Handball-WM plot

The 2007 World Handball Championship was held in Germany. The German team was among the sub-favorites. The tournament looked set to be a major fiasco for the team after a painful defeat to Poland. Miraculously, the Germans stunt against everything and everyone and unexpectedly reach the final in Cologne. Germany is completely under the spell of handball. Whether this fairy tale would have a happy ending was still the question. Director Winfried Oelsner followed 'die Nationalmannschaft' during the World Cup.
