"Stories we tell to survive"

How do you get stories from Syria completely authentic out? Could former prisoners be able to fully expose themselves to an interviewer? Jordanian filmmaker Dalia Kury came up with a solution. For The Privacy of Wounds, she recreated a group cell in a Norwegian cellar, in which three Syrian immigrants voluntarily lock themselves. Under the eye of unmanned cameras that keep recording, they sit on the same thin mats for three days without daylight, talking about their time in different Syrian prisons.
