Price of Paradise plot

At the age of 55, a woman named Lindamae Lawelawe Carillo Maldonado discovered the truth about her identity. She was born on the island of Moloka'i, where people suspected of having Hansen's disease were isolated. Lindamae was one of many children who were taken away from their mothers at birth and offered for adoption. Her search sheds light on a little-known chapter in the history of Hawaii.
