A portrait of Otto Preminger (1905-1986), the first independent American filmmaker, who regularly challenged the Hayes Code by incorporating taboo data such as homosexuality, drug use, free love, rape and political corruption in his films. In this documentary, many famous people come to talk about their work with Preminger and their aubades are illustrated with fragments from his most famous films.
