Pijnlijk Bewijs plot
Painful Evidence is the first to monitor the daily activities of the Forensic Outpatient Clinic for Child Abuse (FPKM). The documentary provides a unique insight into the complicated work of the employees of the outpatient clinic, who prefer to carry out forensic investigations as soon as possible after a report of injury. By taking traces and talking to the child when the injury is still 'fresh', the outpatient clinic hopes to have the best chance of determining the cause. Painful Evidence also shows the struggle of the employees of the FPKM with the evidence, for example because the injury was too long ago. Reports are often postponed or not made, because a suspicion of child abuse is so sensitive.
