People Power Bombshell: The Diary of Vietnam Rose plot
In his native country, Celso Advento Castillo (1943-2012) is hailed as 'the Messiah of Philippine cinema'. His more than sixty titles filmography is highly original and extremely diverse. He made thrillers, action and horror films, but in the 1970s he also put the so-called 'bomba film' on the map, an erotic drama in which he managed to process a story and often even a moral. In the eighties he worked on a feature film with the then 19-year-old actress Liz Alindogan, the sexy promise of that moment. However, financial and logistical problems meant that the film was never completed. More than thirty years later, John Torres uses the twenty recovered film reels to make a documentary of it.
