Pawlenski - Der Mensch und die Macht plot
Pyotr Andreyevich Pawlenski, a concept artist and activist from Russia, has taken extreme and sensational actions in the recent past. In 2012, for example, he sewed his mouth shut in protest against the arrest of several members of the punk band Pussy Riot. A year later he stunts again: the first time outside the parliament building in St. Petersburg he protests naked and completely wrapped in barbed wire and a little later he takes action, nailing his scrotum to the floor of Red Square. The aim of his ventures is always directed against the Russian power structure, which makes people into objects. Pawlenski has been imprisoned since 2015 after setting fire to the door of the Russian secret service. He was first in prison, but was then transferred to a psychiatric hospital.
