Parque Patagonia plot

The south of Chile is home to a unique region: Patagonia, the symbol of the wilderness at its best. This harsh and inhospitable region is home to numerous animal species, but that was once different due to overgrazing. Since 2000, Kristine and Douglas Tompkins have created more than 850,000 acres of national parks to restore rhinoceros, huemuls, vischachas and many other rare endemic species to a safe haven in this beautiful oasis of tranquility.
