This documentary paints the portrait of an unusual character who found himself at the intersection of two worlds - that of the Belgian and the Congolese. Paull Panda Farnana was raised by a Belgian unmarried artist. He is the first Congolese to obtain a higher education diploma in Belgium as early as 1909. He returned to Congo as an agronomist and became the first black-skinned Belgian official. Faced with real apartheid, he is gradually forced to give up his various positions under pressure from bullying. He returns to Belgium in 1914, and at the outbreak of the war he voluntarily enlists in the Belgian army. He was captured and remained in a German prisoner of war until the liberation in 1918. On his return to Belgium, he devoted all his energies to demanding gradualism between blacks and whites in education and to giving responsibility to the chiefs.
