"A Kindred Spirit's Legacy, Reclaimed"

This documentary tells the story of Edith Lake Wilkinson, a painter who was admitted to an asylum in 1924, after which she was never heard from again. All her belongings were stored in boxes at the time and transported to a relative in West Virginia, where the belongings had been in the attic for about 40 years. Edith's great-niece, director Jane Anderson, grew up surrounded by the paintings of Edith, which her mother had taken from the attic. Jane decides to take a journey to find answers to the mystery surrounding Edith's life and discover what the art world thinks of her painting.
