Outfitumentary plot
What does your everyday clothing choice say about your sexual identity and gender? And what is the political significance of it? By filming her own outfits for ten years, artist K8 Hardy addresses these questions. Video work, in which she records, comments and experiences her changing personal development. From 2001, performance artist K8 Hardy, from a tripod or recorded by visitors, filmed her outfit almost daily with a mini DV camera. For over a decade (until her camera gave up its soul in 2012), she portrayed herself as she lived that all-important coming of age period as a young lesbian feminist.
