Otan Erthei i Mama gia ta Hristougenna plot
A 'cinéma vérité' documentary that paints a portrait of a community of migrant women whose lives usually go unnoticed. Josephine, a migrant from Sri Lanka, works in a suburb of Athens. She has finally landed the long-sought, "good" job, a dream for many rural women. She has a good salary so that she can take care of the two-year-old Isadora. During the Christmas holidays, Isadora's mother comes over from Paris. After an eight-year absence, Josephine returns to her native country for the Christmas holidays, where she is first confronted with her three children, who until then grew up in orphanages and know nothing of their mother except bank statements, letters and gifts. Josephine's brief visit evokes a veritable spectrum of complicated emotions.
