On the Edge of Life plot

As the Syrian civil war reached downtown Damascus, filmmaker Yaser Kassab and his wife Rima fled to Lebanon. When they heard there that Yaser's brother had died in Aleppo, they traveled on to Turkey. For a year and a half, the couple lives in a remote and deserted place where there is nothing to do except wait and mourn. With their heads, Yaser and Rima are with their relatives who did not want to leave Syria. They have contact via faltering Skype connections and cracked smartphone screens.
