O Vício da Liberdade plot

The protagonist of the film is the grandfather of one of the filmmakers, the fearless, bold Brazilian lawyer Evandro Lins e Silva. Following his fight for justice, the makers uncover the recent history of a society whose military government abolished many civil rights in 1968. Still at the age of 88, the lawyer is invited to defend the leader of the Workers Without Land movement, who has been charged with murder. The return of Lins e Silva to court is the starting point of the film.
