Nirvana plot
Twenty years after the death of frontman Kurt Cobain, Britta Hosman examines the impact of grunge band Nirvana on the Dutch music scene, the causes of their success and the enduring popularity of the group. She also looks back at the memorable moments of Nirvana in the Netherlands, from their first performance in Night Town Rotterdam, which barely attracted spectators, to their sold-out concert in Ahoy, which was canceled after Cobain's suicide. And somewhere in between: the legendary show in pop temple Paradiso, where Cobain is said to have taken heroin for the first time.
