Newport & the Great Folk Dream plot

Newport & The Great Folk Dream is a film about the unifying power of music across different cultures and generations. Older folk artists and young newcomers meet in the early 1960s on the Newport meadow, an event that grows into the prototype of all pop and rock festivals that followed. But the film is about much more than that, for the societal changes taking place at the time—the rise of the youth counterculture and the fiercely raging civil rights movement—make themselves felt on the festival grounds as well.
