Nas Correntes de Luz da Ria Formosa plot
A stream of atmospheric shots that director Jon Jost made during a stay of several months in the fishing and seaside village of Cabanas in the Portuguese Algarve. He filmed daily and immediately selected the more interesting material. That still resulted in more than ten hours of selected images from which a whole of just under two hours was carefully composed. The film gives the impression that it consists of moving paintings and, as with some paintings, color and light are more important than any representation. It is a meditative film that leaves a lot of room for the viewer to project their own thoughts onto the screen.
