My Thai Bride plot

Ted doesn't exist in Wales. As a 46-year-old single man, he feels lonely in a society in which only young people seem to count. When he goes to Bangkok for a business trip, women suddenly appear to be interested in him. He meets the beautiful but poor Tip and falls in love. Back in Wales, Ted decides to help her get out of prostitution. He returns to live with Tip in a village in northern Thailand where they get married and start a pig farm together. He is not alone: columns of Western men are lured to the Thai countryside. When Ted decides to leave the finances to his new wife, he loses all control: Tip becomes more and more distant and barely allows him to spend money.
