My Father, the Genius plot
Glenn Howard Small is an architect with a great talent for visionary plans. Small declared himself a genius as early as the 1960s, when his popularity in the United States was still skyrocketing. But he found compromises in his work and in his conduct completely nonsensical; society had to learn the importance of his ideas. After several fights with colleagues and employers, he was fired from the prestigious Southern California Institute for Architecture. Then Small went from promising architect to unrecognized genius, with little regard for his wife and children. This documentary by his daughter Lucia is a portrait of her special father and their mutual relationship.
